Feeding The Hungry

Thanksgiving Boxes

St. Vincent DePaul - Harrison Council, St. John The Baptist provides boxes filled with food and fixings for a complete Thanksgiving Dinner.    St. Vincent DePaul selects families they have served in the past year.  After families are identified they are invited to a drive thru delivery event and when required the boxes are delivered to families.

NOTE:   In the past SVDP teamed up with the Cub Scout Packs and Girl Scout Troop affiliated with SJTB to but this year they are not able to participate.   We are looking for other youth oriented groups to engage help us feed these needy family neighbors in need.

SVDP Harrison Food Pantry

We depend on the generosity of others to stock our pantry and  service the families in Harrison and our surrounding communities.  The pantry started in the garage of Ray and Mary Roll as a way to directly and personally impact our neighbors in need.  Eventually, the pantry evolved into it's current location in the St. John The Baptist church rectory garage providing more space and a central location.  As neighbors in need call for assistance we deliver nourishment for the body, a compassionate ear to listen and heartfelt prayer for their spiritual well being.   In addition to the dry goods the pantry distributes we also work with the area Koger store to provide our neighbors with perishable items like milk, eggs and more.
